This room can hold up to 15 children, age 2-3 years. The child to staff ratio is 1 to 5.
Our Rocking Horses Room is designed for children aged 2-3 years, offering a safe, engaging, and inspiring environment where they can develop at their own pace. We encourage children to become confident, curious, and independent learners through meaningful play experiences that support all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
The room is carefully organised into inviting learning areas that promote exploration and creativity. Children enjoy opportunities to investigate sensory resources, engage in imaginative role play, experiment with messy play, build with construction materials, and take part in creative activities that encourage self-expression.
We also provide cosy spaces for sharing stories, quiet reflection, and developing early communication and language skills. Our experienced practitioners create exciting, child-centred experiences based on children's interests and individual next steps. Through a balance of adult-led and child-initiated activities, children are encouraged to make choices, solve problems, develop friendships, and build confidence in their own abilities.
Outdoor learning forms an important part of each day, allowing children to explore nature, develop physical skills, and enjoy active play in all seasons.

My twin grandchildren go to Broomfield nursery, they both are very different with my grandson having delay in development so he is kinda like 12mths behind his sister, since they both started we have all seen a change in them , I cannot fault them at all the staff are so good they inform you with the activities they have done each and every day , my grandson has come on so much since him starting they always try to involve him in the activities the other children are doing which I think it's very good that he's not singled out with all the problems he has, his sister has come out of her self and joins in more that's with the encouragement the staff give them , I would highly recommend this nursery
My son has attended the nursery since last year, he has really come on since then learning numerous new things, he is 2 and is way ahead of his years because of this nursery I would highly recommend and the staff well the staff are brilliant always willing to chat to you after pick up with a run down of my child's day just makes me feel so much more confident in the nursey.

I've been sending my children to Broomfield for the last 6 years. All 3 children started there as babies and have attended right up to school age and for school holiday sessions. All of my children are autistic non-speaking kids with high support needs and some challenging behaviours. The staff at the nursery have always been supportive around all of my children's needs and have gone above and beyond for us as a little family, in fact they treat my children more like family than anything.
